Courtyard

Courtyard Cafe

The Courtyard Cafe has an open seating area overlooking the renovated courtyard.

The menu includes: coffee, tea, fresh pastries, fresh fruit smoothies, parfaits, snacks, grilled paninis, sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and desserts. Menu items are subject to change.

The Nexus

The Nexus is a space for community events and teaching. The room is set up with sound and projection and can also be a study space. Learn about The Nexus events use policy.

Collaborative reading room

The 1st floor is an area for conversation and collaboration. It has library collections, flexible seating areas, whiteboards, and help from library experts. This space is available 24/7 for current faculty, students, and staff.

Group study rooms

The group study rooms are located on floors 1 and 1M. These eight rooms are good for small group work. Each room has glass walls and large wall-mounted monitors. Reserve one of these rooms.

The Loft

The Loft overlooks the reading room and cafe seating area. It also has collaborative space for classes or study groups.

Quiet reading room

The 2nd floor reading room is a quiet zone. The reading room takes advantage of Hayden’s best asset: views of the Boston skyline and the Charles River.

East study room

This MIT ID access-only study room features several windows, a variety of seating options, and six docking stations with 27″ monitors.
