Pets policy
Pets are not permitted in staff or public spaces of the MIT Libraries. A pet-free workplace promotes a comfortable and safe environment for all people.
Following the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), MIT allows service animals in staff and public spaces. The ADA defines a service animal as “a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability”.
The service animal’s task must have a direct relation to the owner’s disability.
