Digital Sustainability Lab

MIT Libraries is at the center of trends in research and instruction that are resulting in massive growth, increased complexity, and new forms of digital content that need to be managed across generations of technology. The Digital Sustainability Lab will enable the Libraries to continually devise and implement solutions that expand our means to acquire, preserve, and make content available in digital form – content that contemporary scholarship relies upon. A few examples:

• Provide specialized equipment and software to improve digital forensic capabilities and test solutions
• Convene symposia, community events, project sessions, and other collaborative opportunities with researchers and practitioners to shape an agenda for digital preservation and sustainability
