Our most accessed resources lists were shaken up a bit in September by two things:
- publication of recordings of Moroccan music made in 1959 by Paul Bowles in town of Ouezzane at the base of the Moroccan Rif Mountains and,
- even more so, by the announcement of the six projects to receive the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in the 14th triennial cycle of the prestigious award. The 2019 Award Recipients collection was made available to Archnet users the very day the announcement was made in Kazan, Tatarstan.
As has been the case for more than a year now, a book surveying Charles Correa’s architectural career was the most downloaded publication or file. There were well over 300 downloads of the publication or a section thereof just in September 2019!
The most watched video was “D’azure et d’or, Ispahan / Isfahan: Azure and Gold, from the Baroness Ullens de Schooten collection. While some Archnet videos can be downloaded and watched offline, the top ten list only counts videos opened in Archnet’s online viewer by pressing the “play” button. People who watched this video may be interested to know that the Ullens collection has been substantially expanded with hundreds of new photographs. The collection details page has also been organized into provinces to make finding images easier. (To get to the details page of a collection, click the View Collection icon.)
