Here are the library spaces and services available December 22 through January 4:
Library access and in-person services:
- Hayden Library
- Monday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 23: 9am to 6pm
- Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4: 24/7 study space is available for community members with MIT ID. Information desk will not be staffed, and access to book stacks will be closed.
- Lewis Music Library and Distinctive Collections Reading Room: Closed Monday, Dec. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 4.
- Barker, Dewey, and Rotch:
- Monday, Dec. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 4: 24/7 study space is available for community members with MIT ID. Information desks will not be staffed, and access to book stacks will be closed.
- GIS & Data Lab and Aga Khan Documentation Center (7-238) will be closed.
- Scanning and office delivery: Unavailable Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4.
Virtual help: Help via Ask Us will be unavailable starting at 5pm on Tuesday, Dec. 23, resuming on Monday, Jan. 5, at 10am.
Returning materials: Book drops are located at all library locations, the Stata Center, and outside Building 9 – Samuel Tak Lee Building, along the Massachusetts Ave. side. Please note that items returned during the break will be backdated when checked in.
Electronic resources: Access to electronic resources, such as ebooks, journals, databases, and streaming video and audio, will remain available through the break.
Courtyard Cafe: The cafe will be closed Monday, Dec. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 4.
