Access archived records
MIT ArchivesSpace is the discovery portal for both digital and physical records transferred to the Institute Archives.
Additional things to know:
- See instructions for Searching MIT ArchivesSpace and Requesting materials.
- While names of offices, DLCIs, and roles may change, names of collections do not. Your records may be listed under a name used previously.
- Most, but not all, collection guides are publicly available. Collection guides may be hidden if they include individual student or donor names.
- Archived records don’t usually circulate. Please schedule an appointment at the Department of Distinctive Collections Reading Room.
