A small selection from the Aga Khan Visual Archive (AKVA) is now on display in the exhibit case at the entrance to the Rotch Library. Chosen from the collection of nearly 120,000 slides and digital images, the exhibit highlights a few examples of architecture, urbanism, and the built environment of the Islamic world.
The AKVA images were donated by graduate students traveling on Aga Khan Program Travel Grants, scholars, and architectural firms. Portions have been digitized and are openly available in MIT Libraries’ Dome for research and educational use.
