Felicity Walsh joins Libraries as ID&LA Head

New staff member brings vast access services experience to MIT

Felicity Walsh recently joined the MIT Libraries as the department head for Information Delivery and Library Access. Walsh previously worked in Atlanta, Georgia, as the associate law librarian for access and student services at Emory University’s Law Library, where she lead and participated in a number of projects. Of particular note, she helped create the Student Library Advisory Council, managed the consolidation of three main service points into one service desk, and served as the interim director of operations for the Law School. Walsh also served as co-chair of the Circulation, Interlibrary Loan, and Reserves working group, among other university-wide committees at Emory. Prior to her role there, Walsh worked in access services departments at Southern Polytechnic University, Saint Anselm College, and the University of New Hampshire.

The Libraries welcomes Felicity to her new role and is thrilled by the vast access services experience and expertise she brings to the Libraries and the MIT community.
