Film screening: Tunisia: Year Zero

AKDC@MIT and Center for Arabic Culture partner to host final screening of the season

SharonTunisia: Year Zero wraps up the fall film screening series presented by the Aga Khan Documentation Center at MIT and the Center for Arabic Culture. The film by Feriel Ben Mahmoud documents the pro-democracy uprisings in Tunisia in January 2011 that kicked off the “Arab Spring.” The screening will be followed by a discussion led by Rachid Aadnani, Ph.D., professor of Arabic language and literature at Wellesley College.

The screening is free and open to the public.

The film series is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Creative Dissent: Arts of the Arab Uprisings, currently on view at the Wolk Gallery at MIT (Building 7-338). The exhibition is on view through December 23, 2015.
