We’re excited to announce the availability of Mango Languages, a leading language and culture learning resource, available online 24/7. Mango Languages includes self-guided courses that go beyond grammar and vocabulary, introducing language learners to a whole new world.
Mango Languages has more than 70 language courses, including thematic specialty series such as Medical Spanish, Soccer Celebration (Brazilian Portuguese), and Endangered Languages. It also includes English classes specifically developed for speakers of other languages. Mango also features Mango Premiere, the first program of its kind to teach language through full-length international films. Watch the films on their own, with subtitles in English and/or the original language, or with language lessons that introduce key vocabulary words and cultural notes.
Visit libraries.mit.edu/get/mango to get started. The first time you visit Mango, you’ll be prompted to create a free account, which allows you to resume where you left off in a language lesson. Need to take some lessons on the road? Mango also offers mobile apps for Apple, Android, Kindle, and Nook devices.
