Fire insurance plans of Alexandria, Cairo, and Constantinople (sic), are now available on Archnet. The plans show building footprints, usages, and materials. These plans were issued by Charles E. Goad, a London-based civil engineer, between 1898 and 1905.
There are 104 sheets in total. The individual sheets can be downloaded on Archnet. Geo-referenced versions of the plans can be viewed in the Harvard Geospatial Repository.
The plans were a gift from the Aga Khan Trust for Culture to the Aga Khan Documentation Center at MIT.
