Libraries performing emergency preparedness training during spring break

Please note library closures March 28 & 29

As part of our continued commitment to ensuring the safety of the students, staff, and faculty in our spaces, we will be conducting emergency preparedness training exercises during spring break.

To properly test our emergency preparedness plan and simulate real-time situations, the training exercises will require each of the four main libraries to be closed for two hours while the training takes place. The schedule for the closures is as follows:

  • Barker: Tuesday, March 28, 11am-1pm
  • Rotch: Tuesday, March 28,  2-4pm
  • Dewey: Wednesday, March 29, 11am-1pm
  • Hayden: Wednesday, March 29, 2-4pm

The trainings are scheduled to minimize disruption to the MIT community by ensuring that the other locations remain open while we conduct these exercises. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
