Nora Murphy, the archivist for reference, outreach, and instruction in the Institute Archives and Special Collections, joined the MIT Alumni Association on May 17 for a Twitter chat about the Institute’s move from Boston’s Back Bay to Cambridge in 1916. Murphy shed light on the origin of the move, the design of the campus, and what student life was like a century ago, sharing some interesting objects and surprising facts along the way.
