If you’re trying to access an online journal or other e-resource:
- If you’re on-campus, you can often simply find the journal on the publisher’s web site, and it will recognize your MIT IP address.
- If you’re off-campus, you can use MIT’s VPN, which will give you an MIT IP address.
Note: Some resources always require authentication regardless of IP address. In this case, follow the instructions to “manually insert the proxy string” on Connect from on and off-campus to authenticate.
