Maihaugen Gallery<\/p><\/div>\n

Have an idea for an exhibit using library collections? We are now accepting proposals for exhibits in the Maihaugen Gallery (14N-130)<\/a> and the Hayden Library Loft (14S-100)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Any MIT faculty, student, or staff member can submit a proposal. Past exhibits have explored the Institute\u2019s history with South Asia<\/a> and China<\/a>, MIT women in biology and chemistry<\/a>, collections related to the history of flight<\/a> and other innovations, and more.<\/p>\n

The Maihaugen Gallery offers a secure, museum-grade exhibition space to highlight historical documents, rare books, maps, artwork, photographs, and other materials from MIT Libraries\u2019 Distinctive Collections<\/a>. Learn about current and past exhibits<\/a> in the Maihaugen Gallery.<\/p>\n

The Hayden Loft has a single display case that provides an opportunity to highlight topics related to MIT history or Distinctive Collections initiatives. Read about the current exhibit, From Samurai into Engineers<\/i><\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n
