These monitors, including a variety of connectors, enable users to work more efficiently on their laptops with large files, datasets, or multiple applications, which can be cumbersome when using a small laptop screen alone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This new service is a result of a successful six-month pilot between the Undergraduate Association\u2019s Innovation Committee and the MIT Libraries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The new monitors are available in the following locations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Barker Library \u2013 4 monitors on the 5th floor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dewey Library \u2013 4 monitors in the 24\/7 study space; 4 monitors on the second floor\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hayden Library \u2013 4 monitors on the first floor near the Information Desk; 2 monitors in the Quiet Reading Room (2nd floor); and 6 monitors in the East Study Room (2nd floor)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lewis Music Library \u2013 3 monitors on the first floor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rotch Library \u2013 4 monitors on the main floor<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are QR codes at each monitor to provide feedback or report broken equipment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn more about <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/study\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">MIT Libraries study spaces<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Libraries are excited to announce a new service: Large computer monitors are now available for the community\u2019s use throughout library spaces.
