Humanities Library welcomes Michelle Baildon

The staff of the Humanities Library are happy to announce the appointment of Michelle
Baildon to the position of History, History of Science and Technology,
Philosophy and Anthropology Librarian in the Humanities Library.
Michelle comes to us from Boston College, where, most recently, she
was the Liaison and Bibliographer for History and Political Science.
Michelle has a BA from Harvard University in History and Science and
a Masters from Yale University in American Studies along with her
Simmons MLIS degree.

During her time at Boston College, Michelle was the Scholarly
Communications Librarian, participating in the bringing up of their
institutional repository. She also has been active in increasing the
library participation in instruction at BC, in addition to her liaison
and collection development activities. Michelle is very active in
ALA, including current committee appointments in ACRL (Association of
College and Research Libraries), RUSA (Reference and User Services
Association), NMRT( New Members Round Table), and APALA (Asian/
Pacific Librarians Association).

The Humanities staff is eager to start collaborating with our new
