Mellon Foundation<\/strong> awarded a <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/news\/mit-libraries-receives-grant-from-mellon-foundation-to-support-postdoctoral-research-program\/38129\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Postdoctoral research program in equitable and open scholarship<\/a> $500,000 from 2024-2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The National Science Foundation<\/strong> awarded $300,000 in the form of an <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/news\/mit-libraries-receives-grant-from-national-science-foundation-to-explore-open-science-evaluations-with-icor\/38173\/\">Early-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER) grant<\/a> for Integrating Open and Equitable Research into Open Science in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/incentivizingopen.org\/\">Incentivizing Collaborative and Open Research (ICOR).<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS)<\/strong> awarded $321,557 for Community Tracking Indicators for Open and Inclusive Scholarship to create measures based on open bibliometric data, web and social-media mining, and community input from 2020-2024.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation<\/strong> awarded a <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/news\/receives-grant-mellon\/30919\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Postdoctoral research program in equitable and open scholarship<\/a> $750,000 from 2021-2023.<\/li>\n<li><strong>CLIR\/DLF<\/strong> funded a <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.diglib.org\/job\/7\/\">Postdoctoral Fellowship in Data Curation for Energy Social Science<\/a> from 2021-2023. Due to COVID this has been canceled.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation<\/strong> awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/grandchallenges.mit.edu\/\">Grand Challenges in Information Science and Scholarly Communication<\/a> $108,500 from 2017-2018 to host a workshop on March 19-23, 2018 and produce a subsequent white paper.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS)<\/strong> awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/creos\/research\/design-library-systems\/\">A National Forum on Principles of Accessibility and Inclusion for the Design of Library Systems<\/a>\u00a0$92,170 from 2018-2019 to host an invitation only workshop in April 2019 and the resulting white paper.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The National Science Foundation<\/strong> awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/creos\/research\/revealing-the-invisible\/\">Collaborative Research: Revealing the Invisible: Data-Intensive Research Using Cognitive, Psychological, and Physiological Measures to Optimize STEM Learning<\/a> $1.6 million from 2014-2019 to MIT, TERC, and Landmark College.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Sloan Foundation<\/strong> awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.mit.edu\/creos\/research\/privacy-tools\/\">Harvard University Privacy Tools Project<\/a> $868,954 from 2014-2019 to MIT Libraries and Harvard University to advance a multidisciplinary understanding of data privacy issues and build computational, statistical, legal, and policy tools to help address these issues in a variety of contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CREOS funders The Andrew W.
