The event takes place January 25-28,\u00a0 is part of a continuing dialogue on<\/p>\n

“how to resolve a number of tensions which have ossified the dialogue between cultures and religions. The issues around memory \u2013 how to preserve it and pass it on to the next generations \u2013 seem to be a major challenge for our societies in terms of peacebuilding and encouraging open-mindedness to the notion of alterity.” –enwebinaire.cultural-heritage.ma<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Fondation M\u00e9moires pour l\u2019Avenir<\/a> ( FMA), the Archives du Maroc<\/a> and the US Embassy in Morocco<\/a> have partnered with the Ta\u2019aruf Center on this event.\u00a0 Dr. Toler is one of approximately 50 presenters<\/a> invited to participate in the webinar. Simultaneous translation will be provided in Arabic, English and French.<\/p>\n

Dr. Toler will speak on Wednesday, January 27, as part of the panel asking “Comment la transmission d\u2019un patrimoine spirituel et intellectuel peut-elle contribuer \u00e0 la construction d\u2019une citoyennet\u00e9 ouverte?” He joins panelists from the Museum of Moroccan Judaism<\/a>, the Fondation Miftah Essa\u00e2d pour le capital immat\u00e9riel du Maroc<\/a>, Mohamed V University<\/a>, the University of Sussex<\/a>, and the Alliance internationale pour la protection du patrimoine dans les zones en conflit<\/a> (ALIPH).<\/p>\n
