Location changed to Tangier, Morocco<\/p><\/div>\n

AKDC is partnering with Hoverpin<\/a>\u00a0to make selected Archnet<\/a> content available on their AI based app. Hoverpin allows users to create personalized maps based on their interests by surfacing and aggregating location-based content from a range of topics onto a single screen. Currently the Archnet layer on Hoverpin<\/a>\u00a0gives you a map-based view of sites from 3\u00a0 collections–Mosques of North America<\/a>, Islam in Europe<\/a>, and the Islamic Heritage of Bangladesh<\/a>–as well as examples of significant architecture in Morocco. These sites were chosen for this pilot project, but look for more content soon.<\/p>\n

Users who allow the app to access their location will be able to find and get directions to Archnet’s historically and architecturally significant sites near them or in another place using the Hoverpin’s location search<\/a>. This geo-location feature is especially useful travelers using mobile devices, and is available on both Android and MacOS devices.<\/p>\n

Archnet’s content joins content from Michelin, UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and Atlas Obscura, Lonely Planet, and many other providers. Content is categorized into rubrics such as Events, Music, Culture, Arts, Food and more.<\/p>\n

Look for further integration soon. In the meantime, visit the Archnet layer<\/a> on your browser or download the app for your mobile device. In the mobile interface, the Archnet layer can be found in the library under “Culture.”<\/p>\n
