The aim of the project is to create an alternative teaching and learning tool for architectural history that taps into the visual learning capacities of today\u2019s students. The Timeline Travel tool features online interactive timelines and maps for various historic cities, where visitors can explore monuments and learn more about their histories through descriptions and images. The project currently features timelines for Istanbul, Ravenna, Edirne, and Gaziantep, and will be available in Turkish, English, Italian, and Polish.<\/p>\n<p>The Aga Khan Documentation Center contributed to Timeline Travel with images and descriptive texts in English for <a href=\"https:\/\/archnet.org\/timelines\/48\/period\/Ottoman\/year\/1339\">Ottoman<\/a> monuments in Bursa, Edirne, and <a href=\"https:\/\/archnet.org\/authorities\/3711\">Istanbul<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Timeline Travel project is coordinated by Gaziantep University (Gaziantep, Turkey) and has three partners: University of Bologna, Italy; University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, Poland; and Yeditepe University, Turkey.
