Your Account

What is Your Account?

Your Account is a self-service feature to manage your library account. With Your Account, you can see what items you have checked out, place holds on books, and renew books, plus other features.

How do I get access Your Account?

Access to your Account is now via Touchstone.

How do I see what I have checked out?

  • Click View/renew items on loan.

How do I renew a book?

Note: Interlibrary Borrowing items may not be renewed using Your Account - you must renew using Illiad.

  • Click View/renew items on loan.
  • To renew all items, click Renew All.

  • To renew selected items, click the number next to the item you want to renew.

  • Click the Renew link within the Detail for loan.

 

How do I request a book that is currently checked out?

Note: Placing a request may shorten the due date for the current borrower (they are guaranteed a minimum of 2 weeks). Please contact the service desk of any library if you want to request an item without shortening the current loan period.

  • Click All Items or the location library link for the item you want to place a hold on.

  • Click Request this item, next to the due date.

  • Choose the library you would like your item delivered to, then click Go.

  • Your request has been placed - you can view your requests from the Your Account main menu.

How do I request a book from the Library Storage Annex?

  • Find an item in Barton that is located in the Library Storage Annex.
  • Click All items or the location library link.

  • Click Request this item on the right hand side of the item status.

  • Access Your Account via Touchstone.
    • Select the library you would like the item to be delivered to.
    • If requesting an article, include all information you have, especially volume number.
    • Click Go.
