Computer Use Guidelines
These computers are provided for your convenience by the MIT Libraries. Please do not abuse these computers.
An MIT Kerberos login and password are required for access. Protect your privacy – be sure to logout and protect your password.
Respect others waiting to use the computers. These are meant for quick access to the MIT network.
Be aware of the public nature of these computers. Others can see what you are viewing. Please do not use these machines to view materials that may be offensive or obscene.
These computers have access to web browsers (Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla), popular browser plug-ins (Quick Time, Flash Player, Shockwave player), Leash 32, Filezilla, Microsoft office viewers, and VirusScan.
How to print - coming soon
The Stata Center has wireless capability. If you have your own laptop and a wireless device, you can connect to the network without using these machines.
Food crumbs and drink spills are the primary cause of equipment damage. Please do not eat food directly over or near the computers.
