Policies for Borrowing and Use

Borrowers: All members of the MIT community may use the collections providing the materials are not needed for classroom presentation or by the School of Architecture and Planning.

COLLECTION
BORROWING or USE POLICY

Slides

Circulate for 24 hours to students and for seven days to faculty. Slides can be pulled in advance & placed on HOLD.

Media Collection

Videodiscs, videotapes, & CD-ROMs

Videos are now circulated through Rotch Library.

CD-ROMS are Room use: MIT class period or On-Site Viewing in RVC or Rotch Library only.

Photographs
Room use only. Consult with RVC staff for reproductions from the Kepes/Lynch Photograph Collection.
On-Site Viewing
On-Site Viewing in RVC or Rotch Library.

Slides or videotapes for a particular course can be temporarily set aside for on-site viewing either in RVC (7-304) or in the Rotch Library Seminar Room (7-238) during certain hours. Ask RVC staff in person to make arrangements to set materials aside. Users can request materials at the circulation desk.
