Accessing Your Account in Barton via Touchstone
Your Account in the Barton Catalog is accessed via Touchstone, MIT’s single sign-on web authentication.
You should be able to connect seamlessly using MIT’s Touchstone. If you experience any problems, please Ask Us for help.
MIT spouses, Borrowing Card users, BLC members, etc.
Registered library users without an MIT Kerberos account should be able to connect by using a Touchstone Collaboration Account.
- If you are a new user you must first register in person for MIT Libraries borrowing privileges at any of the service desks – be sure to ask for access to Your Account.
- If you are an existing user, you may Request Access for Your Account online, or simply visit any of the MIT Libraries’ service desks.
Having problems accessing Your Account via a Touchstone Collaboration Account?
- Make sure your Collaboration Account is working
Log in to your Collaboration Account. Reset your password, or register for an account if necessary. Note that sometimes the registration confirmation email from Touchstone can wind up in spam folders. Contact MIT IST’s Help Desk if you cannot get your Collaboration Account working.
- Your Collaboration Account is working but you still can’t access Your Account
Use the Request Access for Your Account form (be sure to indicate that you are having problems), or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
