Online Textbook Information Project

DUE, IS&T, and the Libraries initiated a project during the Fall 2008 semester to provide students with a transparent and simple means for online access to information regarding required course textbooks.

Faculty are asked to identify required textbooks for their courses when the Libraries solicit course reserves information from them.  This information will then be made visible in Stellar, providing students with an easy means to identify the required textbooks for their courses as soon as possible after the information is provided to library staff. 

This initiative will benefit students by helping to contain and possibly reduce their book expenses by allowing visibility into required texts associated with a given course.
