Books are on the move in the Humanities Library

During the next four weeks, visitors to the Humanities Library will notice B. Stimpson & Son movers doing major shifting of materials throughout the building. This move is part of a plan to make better use of Hayden Library shelf space.

To reduce delays for the movers, patrons are asked to refrain from using the elevator between 8:00 and 4:00. Staff at the front desk will gladly retrieve materials from areas actively being moved.

The Humanities and Science libraries have collaborated on this plan to re-allocate space in Hayden library to better accommodate our monograph collections. After this reorganization, the monograph collections should have ten years of growth space.
