Fixes in progress
The following is a list of known bugs that we are working on.
- "Sort by title" is sorting on the inital article, such as "a" or "the". We are working with the vendors to fix this.
- Some results are missing some citation information or showing weird characters on our results screen. This is not always in our power to fix because sometimes the vendor of the database is sending through corrupt or incomplete data. We'll gradually work through these and fix the ones we can.
- Some databases are not sending the abstracts through to our system, even though they appear in the native interface (Proquest Research Library, for example). We are contacting the vendors about this.
- Some special characters are not being displayed properly and we're in the process of fixing this.
- Databases from Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) often time out at busy times of day. See Database Issues for details.
- Some databases have a limit on the number of simultaneous users allowed in our license, so they sometimes will return an error when the seats are all in use. See Database Issues for details.
- In Internet Explorer for Windows, the screen that appears while waiting for search results to complete has some style problems due to quirks in how IE for Windows interprets the CSS. This does not affect the functionality.
- Certain databases will incorrectly return zero hits when the search query uses quoted phrases, more than one quoted phrase, or multiple words. We are working with the vendors to fix this.
- In Management & Business set: Filtering by ABI/INFORM Global or ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry sometimes returns an "unexpected error." We are working with the vendors to fix this.
