How can I get materials from the Annex?
Access to Annex collections is available to:
Members of the MIT community
- PDF delivery (50 pages or less): Search the Barton catalog and use the Request PDF button or go to the Annex article request form in ILLiad.
- Delivery to campus libraries or on-site use: Search the Barton catalog and use the Request item button. Can’t find it in Barton? Use the Annex request form.
Non-MIT users with a serious scholarly research need
The Annex is a closed-stack collection and for any on-site visit, materials must be used in our reading room. On-site use is by appointment only to:
- Members of the MIT community
Please have the Annex staff verify availability of the materials.
- Non-MIT users with a serious scholarly research need
Users without MIT identification must make an appointment at least one business day in advance and submit requests at the same time. Also see Library services for outside users.
The Annex has one photocopier available to the public. Our photocopier does not have copycard capability. We do accept cash and checks for photocopies.
See our reproduction policy for digital cameras in library reading rooms.
