The world's 4th observance of International Polar Year takes place March 2007 to March 2009. Last conducted in 1958, this year promises to bring new and exciting research and discovery on the Arctic and Antarctic regions. The U.S. National Academy of Sciences appointed the U.S. National Committee to facilitate U.S. participation in IPY. This site includes information on how you can get involved.
