SilverPlatter Databases
Available
to the MIT community free of charge, through the MIT Libraries's subscription
to these databases. Using the SilverPlatter interface, it is possible
to set up research alerts in Geobase, Philosopher's Index, PsycINFO, and
Transport.
What
is it?
Email
notification service for
- article
alerts (SDI; results of searches you construct, run periodically)
How
do I change my profile?
- Access
the database (use VERA: http://libraries.mit.edu/vera)
- Perform
the search to be run periodically
- In
the upper menu bar select "SDI"
- Logon
with your username/password
- Click
on "create SDI," or select another option to edit an existing
SDI
- Follow
the directions
How
do I subscribe?
- Access
the database (use VERA: http://libraries.mit.edu/vera)
- In
the upper menu bar select "SDI"
- Click
on "new user"
- Fill
out the
information they require (the * fields)
- Make
note of your usersname/password (SilverPlatter cannot give it to you
if you forget)
- Follow
the directions
