Printing from JSTOR

JSTOR offers a choice of high quality or economy printing.
  • High quality is recommended for use on campus or with a very fast connection.

  • Economy is recommended for use with a dialup connection.

In addition, JSTOR offers a choice of two printing applications:

  • The default option is PDF: High Quality. This option requires the Adobe Reader, available for free and supported at MIT on all platforms. Most MIT users find this the most convenient option. Please note, however, that you will have to wait for the file to open; this may take a few minutes.

  • If you prefer, you may change your printing preferences to select JPRINT, JSTOR's helper application. This option requires downloading JPRINT. In most cases, JPRINT is the fastest printing option. JPRINT is available for Mac, Windows, and X Windows systems but is not available on Athena. This application is not supported by IST or the Libraries.
