Following you will find a list of select hardware and facilities for data
analysis, available to members of the MIT community.

to software and 1GB storage space. |

Workstation with statistical software
programs. Enables the MIT Community

data analysis
- store
data on a temporary basis
- export
data using FTP or CD-ROM

| Harvard-MIT Data Center |
Eight workstations with a variety of analysis software.
Research accounts on Linux server for specialized research
projects. Available to MIT
affiliates with time-limited, faculty-sponsored projects. Accounts may be used on-site or remotely via Virtual Network
Computing (VNC). See the application

- 20 Pentium 4, 3 GHz computers. Each
with 1 GB memory and an internal cd writer.
- 2 Quad Pentium III Xeon batch-processing
servers.
- 2 full color flatbed scanners.
- 10 Athena workstations
- Sun Enterprise and Linux servers
Students get 5GB of disk space for their windows accounts and
5GB for their Unix accounts. |

Five Athena workstations and seven PCs in computing lab. |

Urban Studies & Planning |
A mix of PCs, Macs and Athena machines are available in several clusters
mostly located in and around the Building 7 area. Integrated with Department of Architecture computing. |

Two PC labs and networked storage space. In addition, PhD students
and faculty have access to Unix computing platform. |
