Built in Boston: Boston Landmarks Commission Reports

Boston Bibliography | Neighborhood Documents | Landmarks Commission Reports | Preservation Alliance Letter

The Boston Landmarks Commission issues reports that seek to justify landmark status for Boston buildings. The Commission also carries out studies of neighborhoods for landmark districting status. These reports contain a wealth of information on individual structures as well as street and neighborhood histories, and include maps and photographs. At MIT's Rotch Library these reports are kept in the microfiche cabinet in the Urban Documents Room under "Current Urban Documents."

Reports are listed here by neighborhood, and each entry is followed by the microfiche number.
