  1. Be sure you have MIT Certificates installed on your computer. If you do not, you can obtain them from the Information Services and Technology page.
    Off-campus users
will also need to install VPN (Virtual Private Network) to access the TelAstra database through Citrix. For more information about VPN and to download the software, go to http://itinfo.mit.edu/product.php?name=vpn
  2. Activate your Citrix Account. You'll receive an email once your account has been activated, usually about 15 minutes later.
  3. Go to http://citrix.mit.edu and install the correct client for your computer. Instructions for installing the client can be found at http://citrix.mit.edu/citrix/install.html (those instructions are for a Mac, but the procedure is very similar for Windows).
  4. Return to http://citrix.mit.edu. Your username will be placed in the Log In section of the page (see screenshot below). Click "Log In" to access the databases offered through Citrix.
  5. The citrix menu will open (see screenshot below). Click on the TelAstra Database.
  6. After a couple of brief popup screens appear and disappear, you will see a login screen for Windows Server 2003. Log in to the Windows Server with your Athena username and password.
  7. The Windows Servers opens to the four folders containing parts A through D (the data is in spreadsheets in these folders) and two pdf files explaining the use of the databases.
