MIT's DSpace holds nearly 10,000 theses. This collection is incomplete, it only contains theses that were scanned by Document Services upon request, and theses that were submitted to the MIT Libraries in PDF format by the thesis author. MIT Theses in DSpace can be searched by author name, title words, keywords, or thesis supervisor name. Results can be limited to particular academic departments by using DSpace's Advanced Search tool.
If you would like to search all MIT theses, including theses that have not yet been added to DSpace, use the Barton catalog to generate a complete list of theses published at MIT. Most theses in the Barton catalog are available in print or microform in the MIT Libraries or the Institute Archives.
*For a fee, you can request a PDF copy of a thesis not already in the DSpace from Document Services by using the MIT Publications Order Form.*
