Accessing data using the MIT Geodata Repository Search Tool for ArcGIS:
The MIT Geodata Search Tool for ArcGIS runs on top of ESRI's ArcGIS. The Geodata Search Tool is installed in the MIT GIS lab. If you do not see it when you open ArcMap you can turn it on in the toolbar section.
If you would like to install ArcMap or the Geodata Search Tool on your own machine, you can download both programs from the MIT IS&T web site. (Note: MIT Certificates are required to download. ArcGIS only runs on windows).
The MIT Geodata Repository Search Tool is for use by the MIT community only and requires authentication. Users must log in to access the system. Setting up a user account requires MIT Certificates.
