About MIT Theses in DSpace
MIT's DSpace contains more than 20,000 selected theses and dissertations from all MIT departments. The DSpace thesis community does not contain all MIT theses. To search all MIT theses, use Barton, MIT Libraries' catalog. Theses in the DSpace thesis community may be viewed by anyone by clicking on the "Preview, non-printable (open to all)" link for each thesis. This preview PDF file is protected and may not be printed. Current MIT faculty, students, and staff may download the Printable (MIT-only) PDF file for each thesis at no charge. An MIT Certificate is required. See Obtaining Certificates for Accessing Secure Web Services at MIT for help. Non-MIT users may request a printable PDF file or a bound paper copy by clicking on the "Purchase a Printable PDF or Paper Copy" link from the summary page in DSpace for each thesis, or using the MIT Publications Order Form. Printable PDF or paper copies of MIT theses are available to non-MIT users for a fee, see Pricing Information for Non-MIT Users for details. You must have Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat version 5.0 or greater installed on your computer to view the Preview or MIT-Only versions of MIT Theses in DSpace.
