Suggestion: We need foreign document translation services for scholarly articles, etc.

Response: We'd like to thank you for the suggestion to have services available for translating scholarly materials.  We do have many materials that are not available in the English language and recognize that this makes some of that material very difficult to use.  While we do not have plans to provide translation services through the MIT Libraries, we do have some expertise in trying to locate existing translations of some journals and articles.  Please feel free to ask at our Service Desks or through the Ask Us! Service for that type of assistance.  For materials for which translations are not already available, it is possible hire a translator.  The American Translators Association offers a directory to their members.
