At a meeting of the Faculty held this evening - I presented Mr [?] petition to be admitted on giving pledges - when it [appears] that his case came within the limits of Faculty indulgence - his pet: was granted - & I was requested to write to that effect to his father.

Richard Davis, the youngest son of the late Prof. D whose case was referred by the Visitors to the action of the Faculty was allowed to matriculate - with the understanding that he should be restrained from attempting a too rapid precipitation of his studies.

Messrs Thos S Garnett & T W White - both under 21 yr - were refused permission to board out ~ it being thought that the plan urged – to wit the consent of their parents on the grounds of delicate health, was founded on ...
