Web site history
This is the 3rd-generation web site of the MIT Libraries. It was developed during the year 2000, and released in 2001.

In June 2004 we redesigned the top-level home page of this site. See our Gallery of Previous Home Pages to see changes to our home page since 1995.

We followed a user-centered design process to create the architecture of the site. Our Web Advisory Group led the project.

The graphic design is by Hecht Design in consultation with the MIT Libraries' Web Advisory Group. Photography is by Liang-Wu Cai and Barry Hetherington.
