Choose Your News-- MIT Libraries Offers News Blog and RSS FeedContact:
Heather Denny July 20, 2005 Want to be the first to: Learn about new music and iPods available in the Music Library? Find the hottest summer reads in the Humanities' Library? Discover fascinating facts about MIT history? Or find out about an upcoming book sale or class? Bookmark the Libraries' news blog: http://news-libraries.mit.edu/, or subscribe to the Libraries' RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feed, to get the latest news and information from the Libraries. The Libraries recently started the blog and RSS feed to keep the MIT community up-to-date on new library resources, upcoming events, classes and more. The blog provides the most recent news from all nine libraries and the Institute Archives. Using a news reader, the RSS feed allows you to specify whether you would like to receive all the news stories posted to the blog, or just the stories related to your area of interest—engineering, science, music, events, etc. (see: http://news-libraries.mit.edu/blog/rss-feeds ). Depending on the news reader, you can receive just headlines of the stories with links to the full text, or the complete text itself. The Libraries join other RSS providers at MIT including; The MIT News Office, MIT World, Stellar and Ed Tech Times. For more information about how to use RSS feeds for news or research see: http://libraries.mit.edu/rss |
