Go Places! - Third Annual Libraries Week at MITContact:
Heather Denny September 13, 2004 The third annual MIT Libraries Week begins Monday, September 20, 2004. This year's theme, Go Places!, was inspired by travel and transportation milestones such as the 200th anniversary of the first steam locomotive run, the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Panama Canal, the 100th anniversary of the opening of the New York City subway and other significant events. The MIT Libraries invite you to embark on your own journey of discovery by exploring MIT's library system, collections and resources. From navigating the galaxy to traveling around the globe, discover the Libraries' extensive collections of travel guides, atlases, maps, photos and music from all over the world and even out-of-this-world!
