These
jobs will provide an opportunity to learn new skills
- how to:

and bind books
- work
with people or independently
- assist
in diverse media applications

various computer and bibliographic applications
- handle
archival materials
- work
with maps
- provide
information to patrons from all over the world
Many
evening and weekend hours available. (Note: the Libraries
are open most holidays and during IAP.) Competitive
hourly rates.
Job Categories:
Circulation | Technical
Processing | Stacking Circulation:
- Online and manual
check-in/check-out of material from the library.
- Renewals,
filing, etc.
- Working
with patrons in person and over the telephone.
- Searching
for lost material
Technical
Processing:
All
activities and processes concerned with obtaining, organizing, and processing
library materials, including
- acquisitions, cataloging, physical processing, organizing
and maintaining files or databases,
- picking up material from bookstores,
- assisting with special computer projects,
- maintaining
departmental webpages,
- bibliographic
searching.
Stacking:
Returning
used library materials to their places including books, journals, maps, slides,
photographs, microfilm, microfiche, newspapers, technical reports and documents. If
