The
Institute
Archives
& Special Collections houses
unpublished material related to MIT including official
administrative and academic records of the Institute as
well as MIT publications and theses; personal papers of
MIT faculty, staff, and students, along with related organizations;
and the MIT rare and special book collections. The Archives
also administers MIT's records management program. The
department supports the administration, research, and teaching
of the MIT community and encourages the use of its collections
by researchers and scholars outside the Institute.
